IAMAT’s new guide: Travelling with Medications

Our partner the International Association for Medical Assistance to Travellers (IAMAT) just released the new guide ‘Travelling with Medications‘ which provides advice on navigating medication regulations, importing controlled substances, packing medication for travel, and how to safely find medication abroad.  It includes a section on how to ensure that the medication you buy is safe and it alerts travellers of not purchasing medications from unlicensed pharmacies, street vendors, or online stores. Call to action for the first ever World Patient Safety Day this 17 September

The prevalence and impact of #fakemeds – two new reports shine light on the issue!

Two new reports were released last week focusing on the prevalence and impact of illicit trade on people’s well-being with both reports also highlighting the detrimental implications of falsified medicines. The report ‘Mapping the Impact of Illicit Trade on the Sustainable Development Goals’ released by the Transnational Alliance to Combat Illicit Trade (TRACIT) investigates illicit trade in 12 key sectors, among them pharmaceutical products, and maps these against the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Read more…
