The World Antimicrobial Awareness Week aims to increase awareness of global antimicrobial resistance and to encourage best practices among the general public, health workers and policy makers to stop the further emergence and spread of drug-resistant infections. The theme for this year’s World Antimicrobial Awareness Week is “United to preserve antimicrobials.”  Antibiotics are among the most falsified medical products and the proliferation of these vital drugs  contribute to rising levels of AMR.

This year, we have partnered up with one of our academic chapters,  Kings College London- Fight the Fakes to raise awareness on the dangers of antimicrobial resistance and how substandard and falsified medicines affect this. We will be posting short videos to help expel myths surrounding AMR and to promote better use of antibiotics. You can engage with them on our official twitter page here

To get involved and help amplify the message, you can download the visuals below and post them on your social media platforms!
