Fight the Fakes partner the Global Pharma Health Fund (GPHF) has announced the addition of 6 new therapeutic compounds to the Minilab inventory, meaning the technology can now test the quality of over 80 vital medicines.

Fake medicines represent a serious threat for people’s health worldwide. Using its Minilab, a self-contained and portable laboratory, GPHF is helping governments in countries around the world quickly test the quality of their medicines and identify fakes.

Currently, Minilabs focus on therapeutic categories such as antibiotics, anti-tubercolosis drugs, antimalarials, antiretrovirals and medicines for neglected tropical diseases and cardiovascular diseases.
