The AHAIC 2021 conference will take place from 8th to 10th March this year, hosted by Amref Health Africa. This African-led global convening is expected to attract over 1,800 delegates from over 40 countries, to discuss systems and innovations needed to enable Africa to achieve Universal Health Coverage.
With a virtual format and under the theme “Decade for Action: Driving Momentum to Achieve UHC in Africa”, AHAIC 2021 is co-convened by Amref Health Africa, Africa CDC, IFPMA, Johnson & Johnson and more.. and will focus on the greatest health challenges facing Africa, spotlighting diverse and dynamic voices from across sectors.
Fight the Fakes will be there too ready to answer your questions about the growing burden of falsified and substandard medicines. Make sure you visit our virtual booth in the exhibition area. More details will be available soon.
On the agenda of the conference make sure you don’t miss the panel discussion on 10th March (14:20 to 15:20 UTC+01:00).
Following the multi-stakeholder Call to AU Heads of State to Ratify the African Medicines Agency (AMA) Treaty, the panel will seek to bring its content to the attention of African health organizations having a stake in its implementation and explain its importance in the journey towards universal health coverage.
The session will bring patients, industry, product development partnerships and other public and private health stakeholders around the table to explain why AMA is key to optimising sustainability in the supply of medicinal and healthcare products for diseases disproportionately affecting Africa.
The event is organized by Fight the Fakes members IFPMA and IAPO.
and see you there!
