UNODC Campaign Exposes Trade of Illicit Medicines

Fake medicines pose a serious risk to public health and safety and are one of the most harmful forms of illicit activities. Japanese Government Tackles Fake Medicines Online

The Japanese government will step up efforts to fight fake medicines entering the country via foreign websites in 2014. The country’s Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has been alerted to an increasing number of websites selling fake medication claiming to be based within Japan but operating oversees. Film Contest on Anti-Counterfeiting

Stop Piracy is the Swiss platform for the prevention of counterfeiting and piracy. This year’s Swiss Day against Counterfeiting they hosted a Film Contest to raise awareness of the detrimental effects of counterfeit products to consumers. Sanofi has launched a new website, Fake Medicines, a Real Danger, to help inform their customers about drug counterfeiting and to offer some tips on how to stay safe. About to go on holiday?
