Today on World Malaria Day, Fight the Fakes partner the International Association for Medical Assistance to Travellers (IAMAT) updates its  World Malaria Risk Chart and How to Protect Yourself Against Malaria Whitepaper. The Chart outlines risk areas around the world, including regions affected by anti-malarial drug resistance. The danger of fake medicines cannot be overemphasized

New microbiology lab to test medicines in Ghana

Fight the Fakes partner the US Pharmacopeial Convention’s (USP) Center for Pharmaceutical Advancement and Training (CePAT) in Accra, Ghana today opens a new pharmaceutical microbiology laboratory to test the contents of medicines in Africa. The state-of-the-art laboratory will train pharmaceutical and regulatory professionals to identify medicines contaminated with microorganisms, such as bacteria.
