Stakeholders discuss online pharmacies in the EU

On 17 June 2016, Fight the Fakes participated in a stakeholder roundtable with expert organizations involved in protecting people from illicit medicines online in the EU. Coordinated action against fake medicines in Central Africa

This week a Ministerial Conference takes place in Douala, Cameroon, on central African cooperation in the fight against fake medicines. This takes place under the organizations of the Communauté Économique et Monétaire des Etats de l’Afrique Centrale (CEMAC) and Organisation de Coordination et de Coopération pour la lutte contre les Grandes Endémies en Afrique Centrale (OCEAC). Conference-debate on « Drug counterfeiting in France, in Europe and in the World » at the Luxembourg palace, Paris

On June 20, 2016, IRACM together with the French anti-piracy committee (CNAC) organized a conference-debate on drug counterfeiting at the Luxembourg palace. New campaign to protect seniors from online illegal pharmacies

The Alliance for Safe Online Pharmacies (ASOP Global), Center for Safe Internet Pharmacies (CSIP) and National Consumers League (NCL) are joining forces to educate seniors and their caregivers about the health and financial risks associated with buying prescription medicines from illegal or rogue online pharmacies, and to provide them with the tools they need to stay safe when shopping for prescription drugs online. WHA69: Empowering People in the Fight against Fake Medicines

Fight the Fakes partners the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF) and the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Associations (IFPMA) hosted on 27 May an event at the 69th annual World Health Assembly (WHA69).
