Fight the Fakes Alliance is excited to welcome the new World Health Organization “Training toolkit on substandard and falsified medical products”. This comprehensive resource is a vital step forward in empowering health professionals and stakeholders globally to detect, respond to, and prevent the harmful impact of falsified and substandard medicines.
The toolkit is a flexible and modular WHO normative resource that contains:
- A competency framework outlining the required skills and knowledge.
- A curriculum guide to structure learning objectives and content.
- A detailed trainer’s guide for effective session(s) delivery.
- A collection of technical resources with model exercises, handouts, recommended bibliography, etc.

The toolkit is specifically designed for use by academics, and continuous professional educators who already have some experience and knowledge in the field. It is relevant for national regulatory authorities, international organizations, civil society, law enforcement organizations, procurement agencies, etc.
Fight the Fakes encourages its partners to spread the word about this toolkit and its uptake in-countries. Together, we can help ensure safer medicines for all and strengthen the resilience of health systems worldwide.
