We are proud to announce the Roll Back Malaria (RBM) Partnership as a new Partner of the Fight the Fakes Campaign!
The RBM Partnership is a global framework to implement coordinated action against malaria, comprised of over 500 partners including national governments, development partners, the private sector, NGOs and foundations and academic institutions. RBM works to scale up the impact of therapeutic interventions and sustain malaria control over time.
Half of the world’s population is at risk for malaria and 90% of malaria deaths occur in Sub-Saharan Africa, mostly among children under five years of age. Counterfeit medicines undercut progress on malaria control and are identified by RBM as a Procurement and Supply Chain Management challenge. In regards to this challenge, RBM works to provide countries with technical assistance, the implementation of quality control policies and resource mobilisation for in-country operations.
