Today we are proud to celebrate the second anniversary of Fight the Fakes campaign!
Fight the Fakes works to raise awareness of the dangers of fake medicines, sharing the stories of those who have been impacted by fake medicines and those who are working to put a stop to this crime against patients.
Fake medicines present a serious threat to global health, and can lead to further illness, disability and even death. Fake medicines also increase worldwide resistance to leading treatments for infectious diseases, reducing the potency of existing antimalarials, antibiotics and other life-saving medicines.
On its second anniversary, Fight the Fakes campaign grows to 32 partners, with three new excellent organizations joining today, representing anti-counterfeiting technology, experts in the security of medicine supply chains and academia, and strengthening our global network.
Fight the Fakes partners work together to put an end to the scourge of fake medicines at the global level and across the entire medicines supply-chain.
Fight the Fakes campaign has come a long way these past two years, and we are really happy to celebrate its second anniversary with our supporters and followers. Thank you all for joining us in speaking up and spreading the word about fake medicines!
