WHA72: IPSF’s Statement on Member State mechanism on substandard and falsified medical products

Fight The Fakes |

Fight the Fakes partner, the International Pharmaceutical Students Federation (IPSF), delivered a brilliant statement at this year’s World Health Assembly on the growing issue of falsified and substandard medicines.

In their statement, IPSF highlighted the crucial role pharmacists play in combating falsified medicines. Yet, they urged for an increased vigilance from Member States, as well as the WHO, in order to ensure the security of the entire supply chain. Only through collaboration is it possible to prevent substandard and falsified products from entering health systems. IPSF also highlighted their collaboration this year with the Fight the Fakes campaign partners by hosting four webinars on this topic which reached more than 400 individuals across the globe.
