USP: According to the World Health Organization, an estimated 25-60% of the medicine supply in developing countries is either substandard or counterfeit. Poor quality medicine undermines public and private investments in global health, while leading to severe illness, drug resistance, and death. In an effort to combat falsified, substandard and counterfeit medicines in Sub-Saharan Africa, USP  launched the Center for Pharmaceutical Advancement and Training in Accra, Ghana.
