Oper@tion Hippocr@tes is a project which aims to develop and strengthen expertise in tackling the trade of fake medicine through internet. The project facilitates the exchange of best practices and develops common trainings for financial investigators and financial criminal analysts, notably based on the “training of trainers” principle to improve the prevention and fight against the trade of fake medicine through the internet. This fight against online fake medicines is co-funded by the Prevention of and Fight against Crime Program of the European Union and will last for 2 years.

During this period the following activities will be carried out:

  • Project Management
  • Dissemination
  • Evaluation
  • Organisation of a TOT course in Rome (Italy) for police, customs and drug regulatory authorities, government departments and independent institutes officials about detecting and investigating fake medicine through the internet
  • Replication of the training course in the participating countries
  • Organisation of e-learning training courses

In June 2015, Oper@tion Hippocr@tes will be hosting three training courses in Italy:

•    16 June 2015 in Milan
•    17 June 2015 in Alessandria
•    18 June 2015 in Genoa
