Fight the Fakes Partner the Global Pharma Health Fund (GPHF) has donated a Mobile Compact Laboratory to the Botswana Ministry of Health to help fight fake medicines!

“Counterfeit medicines pose a serious threat to public health globally, here in Botswana as well,” commented the Ministry Dorcas Makgato.

The Minilab is made of two portable suitcases, which contain all materials to helps test pharmaceutical ingredients and to detect fake antibiotics, antiparasitic, antimalarials, anti-tubercolosis and other types of medicines.

GPHF Minilabs have already been supplied in more than 90 countries, mostly in Africa.

The Minilab will help Botswana spot fake medicines, particularly in rural areas, in an easy, reliable and fast way and support the country’s fight against fake medicines!
