We are proud to announce Commonwealth Pharmacist Association as a Partner of the Fight the Fakes campaign!

The Commonwealth Pharmacist Association (CPA) advances health, promotes wellbeing and improves education for the benefit of the people of the Commonwealth. It supports the development of safe and effective systems of medicines management, healthier lifestyles, and the reduction of health inequalities. This is achieved through building strong collaborative networks, partnering with member organizations to improve the quality of pharmacy practice and creating platforms for the dissemination of knowledge about pharmaceutical sciences and professional practice.

By joining Fight the Fakes, CPA acknowledges the magnitude of the problem related to the existence of fake medicines and stands ready to contribute to the work of the campaign in educating and informing the public.

Victoria Rutter, Executive Director at CPA, highlighted that “Many of our member organisations are faced with challenge of fake medicines on a daily basis. Part of our charity’s focus has always been to support the professional organisations in lower-middle income countries to strengthen supply chains and thus help prevent the distribution and use of counterfeit medicines. Naturally we find this goal aligning with the aims of the ‘Fight the Fakes’ campaign and are delighted that we are being welcomed on board to this global campaign”.
